Job Overview:
The successful candidate will have to provide courteous, friendly and professional service at the assigned EY reception and telephone switchboard in order to provide consistently high standards of customer service in line with EY policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:
Qualification & Education:


  • Educated to secondary level with courses in typing and general secretarial

Experience:

  • Post holder must have a minimum of 2-3 years customer service or reception experience preferably in an airline industry

Training & Knowledge:
  •     Knowledge of functions and locations of departments
  •     Knowledge and skill in the operation of telephone switchboard
  •     Good conversational English is required; Arabic language is preferred
  •     Computer literate

Job Duties:
  •     Welcome and assist visitors at the designated area. Attend to their queries and provide information and direction in order to ensure warm, friendly and professional service. 
  •     Operate the telephone switchboard to answer, screen and forward calls to the appropriate department and person.
  •     Communicate clearly on the telephone and deal with the public in a pleasant manner.
  •     Take personal responsibility to familiarize self with EY departments and offices, numbers (e.g. Contact EY, EY Holidays), department functions, EY services, key personnel and use databases and search engines (intranet, outlook) in order to quickly respond to calls and queries.
  •     Schedule and reserve meeting room spaces and ensure list of attendees is available for information. Update and maintain database where available.
  •     Take care of equipment around the reception area and report all breakages and place maintenance requests according to requirements.
  •     Report any complaints, feedback from guests or lost and found items.
  •     Provide clerical assistance as required such as typing, filing, sorting.
  •     Where voice messaging is not available within the designated facility, take down and relay messages as required. For facilities outside head office (e.g. EAMC), handle incoming and outgoing mail and courier deliveries, sort, maintain records and arrange distribution.
  •     Provide support to ad-hoc projects as required.
