Job Overview

  • Responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the Service Logistics airside operation & ensuring all related operational matters are dealt with in an effective manner for fleet and people utilization, excellent communications with all airlines and internal representatives ensuring every customer is highly satisfied where customer service is key to the business success.
  • Ensuring all areas of operational and administration duties are actioned to the required set standard within area of responsibility.
  • To develop and improve work methods and systems, maximize productivity, efficiency, quality, safety and service.
  • Practice active Leadership though clear, concise communications through employee engagement ensuring that the department operates within allocated budgetary operational expenditure KPIs you are set.

Job Duties:
  •     Coordinate resource as planned to meet work loads Rostering and improving existing transport solutions, allot, monitoring and overseeing all responsible personnel assigned to specific duties.
  •     Maintain accurate and on time delivery of all catering related services to customers as per specification and standards whilst enforcing various provincial regulations.
  •     Ensure that the company’s hygiene, quality and temperature standards are strictly followed at all times by all team members.
  •     Train, Assess drivers with standard operating procedures ensuring all vehicle operators adhere to company, Airport and local regulations, policies and communication procedures.
  •     Continuously improve the performance of the department by means review and suggestion areas of improvement with justification.
  •     Ensure that all necessary administrative documentation is prepared, maintained and submitted for the department.
  •     Exercise control and accountability on fuelling, road worthiness and cleaning of vehicles.
  •     Mobile patrols, Apron monitoring, supervise driving tests and maintain all records whilst keeping all focused on delivering on their field of expertise.
  •     Actively seek to reduce the risk of accidents and incidents by means of monitoring, auditing, checks and training.
  •     Assist in any required investigation with regard to customer or company complaints, highlighting improvements / corrective actions.

Job Requirements   
Qualification & Education:

  •     Secondary education with pass in English and Mathematics, fluency in spoken and Written English

Experience:
  •     The minimum requirement would be three years working in a similar role. This would be in a supervisory position overseeing an operational logistics department with a headcount of 100+ staff or 150 vehicle movements per day.

Training & Knowledge:
  •     A leader with capabilities to ensure customer service levels are met and exceeded, embrace ongoing process development and change to identify best practice and opportunities
  •     Knowledge in information systems / IT skills
  •     Energetic, Engaged and Enthusiastic
  •     Capable of working with a variety of counterparts at all levels, and leading from the front
  •     Good man management skills
  •     A good understanding of Airport regulations
  •     Knowledge of Airport Security regulations/requirements
