We are a reputable IT company in the Middle East based in Dubai, currently seeking a well qualified and experienced candidate for the post of Channel Executive for our offices in Dubai, UAE.

Job Overview:
This role drive sell in of Windows Phone devices across the Middle East and Africa regions bridging the various OEM/OEM Windows Phone device portfolio (supply) with Windows Phone demand across this region. The successful candidate will also be skilled at internal negotiations and have a proven track record advocating and influencing for partners; across a broad range of internal stakeholders at all levels. Passion for technology products, especially in the consumer segment, operator channel experience and proven success with business development, selling and/or marketing technology products in emerging markets are must haves for this position.

Job Requirements:
  • 10+ years of relevant years of experience
  • Skills/Abilities: Proven track record managing and leading sales v-teams; Experience in managing teams that are distributed across large geographic boundaries; Strong sales and negotiations skills; Industry and technical marketing level knowledge of PC hardware, Mobile Devices, systems software, applications and peripherals. Working knowledge of PC sales/distributions channels, Smartphone and Operator sales channels; Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit; Strong written/oral communication and presentation skills; Analytical skills that allow to extract core data from an abundance of sources, drawing conclusions and translating those into action. Good understanding of licensing/legal contracts; Work under continual deadline constraints.

Qualifications:
  • Business experience in high-tech, with relevant domain expertise in strategic alliance management, senior business development and sales experience and product management with demonstrated success in driving global initiatives, outstanding track record of results.
  • Telecom industry and experience in working with smartphone device manufacturers and operator channel preferred.
  • Ability to communicate the Microsoft value proposition and bring new MEA-based partners into the Windows ecosystem.
  • Strategically focused, anticipates and develops business opportunities and priorities, while being able to focus on achieving concrete business results through tenacious execution during the fiscal year.
  • Understands how to get things done, demonstrates organizational agility to overcome obstacles, and achieve objectives within and across groups.
  • Creatively develops original ideas, approaches and solutions to typical, unusual or difficult situations or problems.
  • This position requires extensive travel within the MEA regions and some international travel (potentially 35% of the time)

Job Duties:
As a Regional Account Manager on OEM’s Global Device Partners team you will responsibilities will include:
  • Drive sell in of Windows Phone devices across your region bridging the various OEM/OEM Windows Phone device portfolio with Windows Phone demand across the Middle East and Africa regions. This demand can come from mobile operators, local OEM’s, retail, and open channel.
  • Own the MEA regional strategy, sales motion alignment and overall performance against sales and marketing goals demonstrating a strong business opportunity for these Windows Phone ecosystem partners.
  • Own overall revenue and license responsibility for these regions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior executives across sales, marketing, mobile operators, local OEM’s, retail, and open channel distribution.
  • Represent Microsoft as the strategic regional lead across all levels of these MEA-based organizations. Align the business priorities and requirements with internal business groups. Articulate and land Microsoft’s value proposition, short and long term strategies, approach, and programs.
  • Drive for win/win with these partners resulting in new Windows Phone devices sold into this region, revenue optimization while striving for high partner satisfaction (CPE), through an engagement that sets the right expectations and holds each side accountable.
  • Drive operational requirements, escalate priority issues and resolve day-to-day conflicts to ensure smooth product shipments, and well-orchestrated sell-in and sell through programs.
  • Map existing opportunities to increase device sales and identify growth areas for the partnerships in the region.
  • Develop and execute correction-of-error plans that effectively address obstacles as we encounter them and use these plans as a tool to facilitate interaction between country/region and HQ for speedy and sustainable recovery.
  • Orchestrate an effective rhythm of the business (ROB), with partners and internal Microsoft teams that practices on-going open communication and avoids surprises to the partner and MSFT.
  • Contribute to manage monthly ROB reporting requirements across portfolio performance and key programs and initiatives for the covered regions.
  • Be the Microsoft product expert for Windows Phone, who is able to position and demo Windows Phone. Support Device Sellers training in the region on all Windows Phone devices.
