Job Description:
New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is currently seeking a Compensation, Benefits & HRIS Coordinator to join their Human Resources team.

Working within the HR team the position is responsible for Payroll, HRIS, Compensation and Benefits administration with primary focus and responsibility for Payroll and HRIS Administration. The position ensures all HRIS entries are accurately entered and completed in a timely manner.

The position coordinates activities and communications with employees, internal departments and vendors in Abu Dhabi and New York. Additionally, the role will be responsible for generating and distributing periodic and ad hoc management reports. The position will also provide support to other team members in benefits and compensation administration. The role will involve cross-training across all functions and assists with employee enrollment and orientations. It will also contribute to department process development and improvement, HRIS modification and enhancement.

Job Requirements:
  •     Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
  •     Two years’ experience working in a human resources or systems related area with exposure to HR administration, HRIS, payroll, benefits, compensation, and/or employee relations environments
  •     General knowledge of Human Resources administration, operations and polices
  •     Excellent written and oral communication skills
  •     Demonstrated initiative, ability to problem solve and prioritize work tasks
  •     Strong attention to detail and flexibility to meet rapidly changing priorities 
  •     Ability to think analytically and holistically 
  •     Strong customer service orientation
  •     Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office software

Desirable
  •     Previous experience or training in HRIS/Payroll software (eg Workday, PeopleSoft)
  •     Understanding or capability to learn relevant UAE/US legislation 

Job Duties:
  •     Under the general supervision of the Compensation, Benefits, and HRIS Senior Specialist, prepare and enter payroll actions
  •     Ensure completion of benefits transactions and deductions as part of the monthly payroll
  •     Process final settlement amounts for leaving employees
  •     Assist with coordinating payroll actions with the Finance Payroll Manager
  •     Ensure payroll activity is completed and processed in a timely and accurate manner
  •     Perform routine audits of HRIS and payroll entries, identify areas of improvement in payroll processing
  •     Process employee requests for tuition payments/reimbursements, housing advances and generate required forms and communications
  •     Ensure timely processing of payments as per service level agreements and according to University policies
  •     Generate routine and ad hoc reports through the HRIS
  •     Create and maintain databases and spreadsheets to capture information not available on the HRIS
  •     Issue and maintain organization charts under the supervision of the Compensation, Benefits, and HRIS Senior Specialist.
  •     Coordinate administrative tasks such as vacation planning, reorganizing shared folders, internal trackers and forms
  •     Generate purchase orders for the Compensation, Benefits and HRIS function
  •     Support the Compensation and Benefits team with administration of health, retirement and other benefit plans including provider requirements for processing new enrollments, changes and terminations
  •     Assist in administering the annual open enrollment for health insurance
  •     Respond to and resolve employee inquiries or concerns regarding benefits, services and coverage issues
