Job Description:

Banana Republic was founded in 1978 as a safari and travel store in California. Acquired by Gap Inc. in 1983 there are now more than 430 Banana Republic stores around the world

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Store Manager to join Banana Republic in our Flagship Store in Dubai Mall.  Working with our store team you will be responsible for excellent customer service  through effectively managing the department team.  Your responsibility will also be controlling and monitoring Store operations.  This will include driving sales, merchandising and stock control in order to achieve the department targets.

Job Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will be a passionate and enthusiastic individual who wants to lead a team to be successful.   A keen interest in fashion and trends is essential and you should be able to recommend our products to our Customers. You should be able to communicate with colleagues, senior managers and customers alike.  An excellent command of the English language is essential.
  • You should be well groomed and have excellent Customer Service skills
  • You should be able to show your experience in achieving excellent standards of customer service by directing and coaching the sales team, and leading by example on the shop floor. This will include experience in motivation, training and managing poor performance of staff and products.
  • You will have a background in analysing sales data and making commercially based decisions.
  • A Customer service background is essential and you should be able to give examples of when you have dealt with the Customer journey effectively.
  • An understanding of Visual merchandising would be beneficial. 
  • You should have experience in managing stockloss and reducing shrinkage in store and be able to give examples of when you have done this in previous positions.
  • High school qualification is required
